D365F&O- Calculating sales prices to two decimal places in D365F&O.
D365 F&O calculates prices out to six decimal places, though only displaying out to two decimal places. The request is to have D365 only use 2 decimals in calculating a sales price (or any price). Currently, for export documents, our logistics partner, DHL, is entering the item qty and unit price, and the system they use automatically calculates the net amount. The issue is the net amount in D365 can differ from the net amount in the DHL system due to how D365 rounds prices. This causes issues with getting the documents to display the correct price and match D365. This can cause delays with our shipments out of KMT/EMEA. This issue has been an ongoing issue that has been dealt with manually outside of D365.

Dynamics F&O- Transfer of customer information from sales order notes to purchase order for direct shipment.
When creating a direct delivery PO out of a sales order, is it possible to automatically transfer the information that are entered in the notes from the sales order to the PO? Example: Customer A has some shipping instructions in the notes (ship on UPS account XYZ) Sales order has warehouse code KMT_direct Direct delivery PO is created out of the sales order Now the shipping instruction should also be available in the PO
Because this is information that can change from customer to customer, we can’t enter them in the notes for the supplier. (Cannot enter them as Vendor notes).

Dynamics AX- Failing Pipeline for the Build in Azure DevOps - Generating package for D365
The job that runs the build is getting an error “A reference to ‘Dynamics.AX.ElectronicReporting, Version=0.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null’ is required to compile this module. [C:\DynamicsSDK\Metadata\BuildMetadata.proj]” Steps taken to resolve:\ \- Restarted the server\ \- Updated the Visual Studio / Upgraded to latest service update of D365\ \- Added the Electronic Reporting module as part of the SHAPE project\ \- Compared with the old build server, but couldn’t identify the difference Started this month as we switched to a new build server. The last successful build was October using the old server. This is affecting deployment of changes to D365 ERP system.

Dynamics F&O- Error attempting to cancel a PO - Changes to the document are only allowed in state Draft
In D365 FO, we have an entity attempting to cancel old purchase orders from 2018. On attempting to request a change to the PO to cancel it, they are giving this error: Changes to the document are only allowed in state Draft, because change management is activated Change management for Purchase orders is currently active in the entity. I have attempted to deactivate change management in a UAT environment, but the PO still gives the same error. On investigation:
- It was found that these POs are for a vendor subsequently set up for intercompany
- The Change management flag is active in setup
- This vendor was set for intercompany a couple years ago (after the PO was raised)
- Globally for E022 the change management is active.
- The current settings for the vendor is set to override change management.
- We can’t take the PO out of it’s current state because of workflow it needs

Dynamics CRM- Cannot close order via Delivery Reminder
The User is attempting to Cancel a delivered remainder Quantity on PO# E012PO0003383 for Item Number P131615 for a Quantity of 468 and is getting the attached error message. Steps to cancel were as follows: – Go to Procurement and Sourcing > All Purchase Orders Filter all POs and selected PO contains 3383 Go to the line item P131615 > Select Update Line under PO Lines Select Deliver remainder Quantity of 468 appears in both Purchase Quantity and Inventory Quantity boxes Select Cancel Quantity Error message attached appears Note this is 2021 Intercompany order. And the issue persists on the other Sales Oder side as well as attempts were made to reverse same on there end as well. The objective is to cancel the remaining order quantity for this particular item.

Dynamics F&O- Financial Report Connection Issue - Dynamics F&O
While trying to open a new instance for the Financial Reporter module in Dynamics F&O, our users (general & admins) are receiving the error message “Unable to connect to the “Mansfield Oil Co.’ company. Value must be set when useWindowsAuth is false. Parameter name:password” Once the use click ok on the prompt, new error displays, “Can’t connect to the defaul company. Visit https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2118087 for suggestions. Do you want to connect to a different company?” This function is working as expected in our staging environments. I have cleared user data to try a fresh instance and still received the same error. I have also enable the Clickonce Support option as enabled and restarted the browser.

D365 F&O- Purchase Requisition Workflow - Managerial Hierarchy Stop Conditions
We have an issue where workflow is assigning based on hierarchy and the stop conditions defined indicate to assign the work item to Sector Operations Director as per the attached file which outlines the process. The user Craig La Croix holds multiple positions, and according to Chelsea’s reporting hierarchy, the Sector Operations Director is in the reporting line and should stop there for assignment. Craig also has multiple hierarchies assigned to his positions as outlined in the attachment. His primary position outlined indicates he reports to Adam Sabga, and workflow appears to be trying to take this route, however Chelsea’s reporting line does not show Adam Sabga. Adam Sabga’s position title is Sector Head which also is a stop condition in the workflow options. The requirement from this is the requisition should stop by Craig La Croix for approval (position Sector Operations Director), and not move up the hierarchy further and stop by Adam Sabga (position Sector Head) Please see attached file for further clarification.

DevOps- Failed Deployment to D365
A deployable package containing custom code (reports, data entities etc), and multiple ISV packages fails to deploy to a TIER 2 d365 environment. Please see the listing of the steps taken ( as well as the deployment log) IN Tier1 (dev environment) 1) Visual Studio project checked out of Azure devops, and mapped locally in tier 1 2) Visual Studio ( in admin mode ) launched, and local build successfully done 3) USing Source control explorer, ISV folders located in LocalPackages Directory added to metadata folder to include in project 4) Local project/solution, cleaned, and rebuilt ( successfully ) 5) From Team Project tab in VS, pending changes detected committed to repository in ADO In ADO 6) nuget artifacts released for specific platform version, added to ADO Artifacts 7) packages.config file updated to reflect version details corresponding with nuget packages ( see uploaded screenshot ) 8) Build Pipeline verified/modified to build project checked into repo, using updated nuget references 9) Build pipeline successfully builds, and packages package artifact 10) package artifact uploaded to Asset Library, and passes validation 11) Validated package merged with based environment package to create merged package 12) merge package deployed to Tier 2 env. D365 F&O- Unable to expose private checkbox in D365 F&O
I am forwarding a problem our Europe team is having in our D365 F&O environment. Here is the reported issue: The last test we performed was to assign every permission under the sun to a role. Even with every permission available in D365 we are unable to create visibility to the “private” checkbox in the Customer Master Data. Visibility of this checkbox is required to access customer contact details, in this case email addresses for dunning letter purposes. When they indicated every permission, this would include System Administrator, which should be all powerful.

We need send mails from Business central throw the SMTP services of Office 365, and we have created an account to can send mails. one time we have configured the account at the Service of Business central, the services not working, and we have recive an allert “Email cannot be sent. The notificaciones-facturacion@aramark.cl account does not have Send As permissions on your mail server for the notificaciones-facturacion@aramark.cl account.” Few comments: 1.- we have tested the Service of SMTP with a Script of powershell and works, but at Business central (part of Dynamics 365) dont works. 2.- the Messaging service of aramark, comment when we try to send mails, they are not view any logs of try to send mails. We need enable this account to can send mails because will sent notifications of Invocices and Credits notes from Business central system. I would appresiate your help to solve this issue.

One of our power users at FinishWorks (LE 760) has experienced significant slowdowns in generating count journals. D365 CRM- Huge Amount of data in ActivityPointer vs Emails
In D365 CRM envrionment(dataverse), Email Activity and it’s inline images are being stored in ActivityPointer into dataverse data store. Due to that the inline images, which are inline files, goes into data store instead of file store. Due to that, data storage is overshooting the assigned capacity of Data Store. The proposnate of the email content vs the ActivityPointer data is quite large due to inline images conversion into Base64. The ideal place to keep inline images should be file store instead of data store.

D365 F&O- Line discount group discounts do not get applied to items on Service orders.
In D365 we have multiple line discount groups set up for buckets of items that we can assign to different customer accounts. Each line discount group can have a separate discount rate assigned to it, so different discounts can be assigned to different customers, for the specific items in the group.
The issue we are encountering is this discount is not being applied to items that are on Service orders. I would like to understand if this is by design or there is something that needs to be set in D365, so these line discounts are applied to items on Service orders.

D365 App- Issue with Dynamics 365 Installation
We are currently working with a contractor, Definity First, to help setup our Dynamics 365 Marketing Production and Development environments. They have finished work on the development environment and are now moving to migrate data over to Production. However it seems our Production environment installation experienced installation errors and we get “Business Process Error” when trying to view some settings pages. We also noticed several duplicate Dynamics 365 apps show up on the application page. What would be the best course of action to clean this up and get the Production installation in a stable state?

D365 F&O- Document Routing Agent not working in our Dynamics D365 F&O Production or Test environments
Our D365 Production Environment was recently auto upgraded per the Microsoft Patching Schedule. It is now running version 10.0.33 Platform release PU57 (7.0.6861.30). It is pretty normal for the Document Routing Agent to have a version mismatch and our normal procedure is to login to the upgraded D365 application, navigate to Organization Administration/Setup/Printers and download the latest version of the Document Routing Agent. We then copy this DRA Agent MSI file to the Server that runs the Document and Routing Agent and perform a clean install. 1. Stop the DRA Service 2. Uninstall the DRA Agent 3. Reboot Server and login with the Service Account that will run the DRA Agent 4. Install updated DRA Agent 5. Configure the DRA Agent to run as a service and start the service 6. Open the DRA Agent App on the desktop and validate that everything is communicating properly. No matter what I try, I am getting the following error message from within the DRA app – Agent could not connect to Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. Agent version check failed. Yesterday, I actually got working working and assumed all was working but today, when upgrading some of our sandbox environments, I noticed that our production was generating this error today. I have validated multiple times that the DRA Agent version matches the D365 Environment so there should be no version mismatches. In looking at the error, this seems more like a communication error between the server and D365 and because it cannot communicate, the Agent version check is failing. Need assistance determine what is causing this and also to validate for certain that there is no pending quality update for the DRA Agent. I have run across this before where the published DRA Agent had a bug and we had to perform a quality update in order to download a newer DRA Agent.

Dynamics App- D365 Data Refresh from Production to UAT is removing the Contacts Email
After the data refresh from D365 Production to UAT01, the emails in the Contacts form are removed. When you do a side-by-side comparison of the same contact person, Production has the email address while UAT01 has nothing. Data refresh is done via LCS >> Move database >> Refresh Database. This is needed for our web integration projects.

D365 F&O- Punch Out sending PO to supplier not sending in Dynamics
I’ve been setting up punch out in Dynamics to work with Amazon, I\`ve managed to get it all working and connected from starting a PR, punching out to Amazon, creating an order in Amazon, sending that basket back into Dynamics, approving PR to create a PO, confirming PO and geting it in a staus ready to send back to Amazon, at this stage it wont send to Amazon, I have set the trace to run but there is nothing being captured on the PO sending trace page it doesnt look like its attmepting to send the PO and I’m not getting any errors is someone able to help to see if i\`m missing something to get the PO to send? we\`re currently in testing looking to get this live in July

Our app, PSCRM, started getting intermittent Loading Chunk errors around the beginning of 2023. We had been working through a Unified Support ticket with Microsoft, including an ICM being created and engaging the product group. They have tried to close the ticket before claiming that the frequency is low enough that they do not consider it an issue. The account team for Cat will advocate for us to keep Microsoft working toward a resolution but we need a ticket open for them to reference. Attached is some information about the previous case as well as some recent examples from last week for further investigation.

In the audit file, if Brightview Dynamics user does an update thru a workflow the format of currency fields in the audit file appear formatted. If a different user updates a currency field thru the form, then the audit file isn’t formatting the currency in the audit file. Attached is an example of an opportunity where the audit file isn’t showing the format properly. As far as I can tell, the currency formats are set for users and in the Settings>System Administration>System Settings as following This behavior started to occur after upgrading to 9.1.

D365 Marketing- Can we sign up Dynamic 365 Marketing trial from the tenant level? We disabled self service trial
I saw that we could get a 30 days trial on Dynamic 365 marketing, and we have a business unit want to test that out. However our internal policy requires us to block user self service trial registration, while me as a license / billing administrator in our tenant, I don’t see this product under M365 admin center > billing > purchase product. I can see 11 results under “Dynamic 365 trial” , but none of them are Dynamic marketing (refer to attached screen capture). I get the following error when attempting to connect to entegrissupplier.crm.dynamics.com to get supplier training data in PowerBI: DataSource.Error: Microsoft SQL: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM- Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 Import Organization Error
I’m trying to refresh a non-prod CRM environment. I disabled and deleted the non-prod CRM organization. I restored production database backups to the non-prod environment. When I try to import the organization using CRM Deployment Manager I am getting an error related to SSRS. Configuration of the environment is one CRM application server and one SQL/SSRS server. The SSRS service is running. I can visit the SSRS URL successfully from the SQL server and the application server. Microsoft Dynamics CRM Reporting Extensions is installed on the SQL/SSRS server. I proceed through the import wizard and specify the SQL server name and organization database name that I restored. I specify the display name of the organization. I specify the report serer URL. I edit the user mapping to change the production service accounts to appropriate accounts for the non-prod environment. Then some system checks happen which is where I get the error. Screen capture attached. Error text is: Microsoft Dynamics CRM Reporting Extensions must be installed on SQL Server Reporting Services for reports to work. Looking for help to make the CRM application server aware of SSRS running on the SQL server. The following files were uploaded:

D365FO: Unable to Locate Custom Field for Export
We have a custom field that was added to an extension table for ADW_PurchLineEntity. Our developer and myself have been trying to locate it so we can export it to our on-prem SQL EDW. We thought we had the field, but the data in SQL does not match the expected data. We need help locating this field properly so we can export it for BI purposes. This will likely require an initial call to show and explain the current situation.

Dynamics 365- Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 OS Compatability
Hello, We have an instance of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 (build 6.3.164) running on Windows Server 2012 R2 servers. We have a business and regulatory need to keep this environment around but given that Windows Server 2012 R2 is almost out of extended support, we need to determine if the servers can be upgraded without causing a disruption to the AX product. I am finding the latest version of AX is supported on 2016 but since 2016 is out of support, it doesn’t make sense to upgrade to 2016. Can you advise if this version of AX can run on an OS higher than Windows Server 2016? And if so, what specfic version of AX would we need to upgrade to to accommodate the OS upgrade? Please let me know if a quick call to discuss further would help.

Dynamics 365- Dynamics 365 Project Operations upgrade from Project Service - project conversion failure
In the Project app, by clicking Projects, the user opens a project to convert it into latest project operations, when opening the project, it states “Record not selected” . When converting the project, he gets an error 0x0, that suggests to look at the PSS Error logs. When he goes on the PSS Error logs, within the Settings, no error logs is shown.
